Béatrice MAKIESE
Global Security Area Manager, at META
Currently heading the European Safety and Security Operations Department of the META Group (WhatsApp, Facebook, Instagram, Messenger, Oculus) since 2017, she has navigated for more than 15 years in the sector of international crisis management and safety and security operations on behalf of numerous CAC40 clients.
Throughout her career, she has implemented security strategies for budgets of up to $20 million annually and coordinated international teams of up to 400 employees.
Within International SOS and Control Risks, world leaders in global safety, security and health solutions, she worked for nearly 10 years with multinationals operating in complex environments for global risk management. Actively participating in the preparation and training of more than 3,000 expatriates on behalf of certain CAC40 structures.
With an American certification in security management (ASIS CPP), significant experience with industry leaders such as International SOS, Control Risks and META, not to mention the MBA in Security Management obtained from the National Gendarmerie officers' school, she combines technical expertise with an understanding of business issues.
Her expertise earned her a role at Sciences Po as part of an international crisis management module.
